Our Services

At Milestone Psychiatry, we specialize in psychiatric evaluation and medication management for children, adolescents, and adults. Our approach is rooted in individualized care. We recognize that no two people are alike, and we tailor each treatment plan based on your unique symptoms, goals, and personal history.

Our practice is made up of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) who are trained and experienced in diagnosing and managing a wide range of mental health conditions through the use of psychotropic medications and supportive psychoeducation.

We welcome patients ages 5 and older and offer both in-person and telehealth appointments to ensure accessibility and continuity of care.

We are not a crisis intervention facility. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255), text 741-741, or go to the nearest emergency room. For medical emergencies, call 911.

  • We offer comprehensive initial psychiatric evaluations designed to assess mental health history, current symptoms, functioning, and treatment goals. These evaluations typically last 45 to 60 minutes, though time may vary based on the complexity of the case.

    An initial evaluation includes:

    • Diagnostic assessment

    • Review of prior treatment history

    • Medication recommendations (if appropriate)

    • Coordination of care with your primary care provider or therapist (with consent)

  • We provide ongoing medication management for individuals who benefit from pharmacological treatment. Follow-up visits are typically 15 to 30 minutes and include:

    • Medication review and adjustments

    • Monitoring of symptoms, side effects, and progress

    • Brief supportive interventions

    • Refills and prescription management

    • Education around diagnosis and treatment options

Our goal is to help you achieve mental wellness through safe, evidence-based prescribing practices, always with your input and comfort in mind.

While Milestone Psychiatry generally does not prescribe benzodiazepines or stimulant medications, exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis when clinically appropriate. This approach reflects our commitment to patient safety and adherence to current best practices. Benzodiazepines and stimulants carry potential risks such as dependence or adverse effects and require careful evaluation and monitoring. When prescribed, these medications are managed with thorough oversight to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Milestone Psychiatry offers secure telehealth appointments via the HIPAA-compliant platform TherapyNotes. Telepsychiatry allows you to receive psychiatric care from the comfort of your home while maintaining privacy and convenience.

All services available in-person including evaluations and medication management can also be provided via telehealth, depending on clinical appropriateness and state guidelines. Telehealth is available to patients located in Colorado at the time of the appointment.
